Cashew Shell BioRefinery develops sustainable and safe replacements to standard aromatics, from carbon-neutral agro-wastes, so to help industrial
formulators and chemists, facing the current environment-focused policies and the even more stringent requirements by regulatory bodies on chemicals.

The Products

Surfactants

3AP line of anionic and
non- ionic linear C9

Replace alkylphenols ethoxylates and improves the performance of alcols over selected applications.

Resins

linear alk-enyl-phenol resins with a terminal mono-unsaturation.

CSBR offers bio meta-aromatics solutions, closely replacing petroleum counterparts. We exploit the oil from the cashew nut shell, a feedstock that does not compete with food for land.

CSBR meta-aromatic products remove the typical limitations associated with standard cashew-shell-oil technology, related to processability and performance.

On the one hand, CSBR indirectly helps the cashew nut industry with getting rid of the shells (a 4.5 millions tonnes problem) by maximising the exploitation of the shell-oil;
on the other hand, we want to support both the quality of life in society by replacing the typical oestrogenic chemicals from petroleum with safe-substitutes and the transition to carbon-neutral chemical-production.
